How to Stop Smelly Feet 🤢
Having smelly feet can be a pretty embarrassing problem to have, and getting rid of it may not be as hard as you think. Yeast infections and stress can provoke increased sweating, which can cause bacteria growth andĀ the bad smelling odour around your feet.
Here are our top 3 tips on how to prevent or stop that stinky stench coming from your feet;
.
TIP 1:
Wipe In between Your Toes – After bathing, wipe in between your toes until the entire area is dry. If you fail to do this, some people are more prone to get a fungal infection down the line because the damp area can be a breeding ground for bacteria, not to mention,Ā this could also lead to a fungal infection; and let’s be honest, nobody wants a fungal infection on top of smelly feet! give it a try! it will take you less than 5 minutes to do a day and the more you get used to doing it, it will become part of your daily routine.
.
TIP 2:
Disinfect Your Footwear –Ā Treating the actual feet for bad odour is not the only thing your can do to prevent and stopĀ smelly feet. Looking at your footwear can be a big culprit for the way your feet look and smell.
.– If you wear footwear that are too small for your feet,Ā thisĀ can restrict the amount of air that gets to your feet and can cause your feet to over sweat, harvest odour causing bacteria and make your feet smell. Make sure to get shoes that fit comfortably and have enough room for your feet to breath.
– Use specialised disinfectant sprays,Ā feet antiperspirant, powders and cloths to clean the inside of your shoes. There are lots of products on the market to choose from (dependant on your lifestyle) and some work better than others, talk to your local podiatrist or doctor to gain recommnedations on the best products to use. When it comes to a foot antiperspirant, check thatĀ it has aluminum chloride hexahydrate which may assist with sweaty feet.

TIP 3:
Socks, Socks, Socks – change your socks 2-3 times daily to reduce moisture and use antibacterial or more breathable materials such as bamboo, wool and cotton instead of nylon or polyester which can make the feet sweat more. Never wear a pair of socks unless they are washed dry and clean.
